02/21/2012 - Denver, CO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Colorado Avalanche brought in some skill and toughness on Tuesday, acquiring forward Steve Downie from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for defenseman Kyle Quincey.

The Bolts then turned around and flipped Quincey to the Red Wings for minor- league defenseman Sebastien Piche and a first-round pick in this year's draft.

Downie, a one-time loose-cannon who was a first-round pick of the Flyers in 2005, had enjoyed career seasons in Tampa as a winger on the top two lines.

This season, he totaled 12 goals, 28 points and 121 penalty minutes in 55 games. Last year, he helped the Bolts reach the Eastern Conference finals with 32 points in 57 regular-season games and 14 points in 17 playoff tilts.

For his career, the 24-year-old Ontario native has collected 53 goals, 124 points and 638 penalty minutes in 252 contests for Philly and Tampa Bay.

Quincey, 26, is in his seventh NHL season. The former fourth-round selection by the Red Wings in 2003 recorded five goals and 23 points in 54 games this year, his third with Colorado.

Since breaking into the league with Detroit in 2005, the left-handed shooter has totaled 16 goals and 92 points over 239 appearances for the Wings, Kings and Avalanche.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds. And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East. Academy Award Betting Odds for Best Picture Offer Great Value

Who is to say independently produced Little Miss Sunshine won't be this year's Crash.  Last year, Crash won for Best Motion Picture, shocking those who bet on gay cowboy flick, Brokeback Mountain, as the favorite to win.
